Bookfair Benefits Literacy Action Center

Barnes & Noble Sugarhouse store (1104 East 2100 South, Salt Lake City, Utah) is hosting a bookfair to benefit Literacy Action Center on Friday April 6 and Saturday April 7.

Two ways to donate.

Go to any Barnes & Noble bookstore on Friday, April 6 or Saturday, April 7 -- including the Sugarhouse store -- and buy books (or any other media). To give a part of your sales to Literacy Action Center, you MUST give the book seller (a.k.a. cashier) our bookfair ID# 10686368.  (Because our benefit is at the Sugarhouse store, they'll have the ID# on those two days. The other stores won't know anything about our bookfair. In fact, they may have another bookfair going on, so you must supply this number or they'll give the profits to another group.)

If you shop on line, then you get additional time. On-line purchasing goes from 4/6 to 4/13. When you are ready for check out, look at the bottom of the payment page for the box that says "Check this box if this is a bookfair order." Type in our bookfair ID# 10686368 in the space provided then continue checking out.

Activies.

If you can come by the Sugarhouse stores, visit our table on Friday, April 6 from 11 AM to 6 PM or on Saturday, April 7 from 11 AM to 6 PM.

On Friday, hear some of our adult learners read their original writings from 3 to 5 PM. Their stories are being published in our 2012 Adult Learner Writings.

On Saturday, stop by to hear author Larry Correia (Monster Hunters), author Mike Kupari (Dead Six), and author Clark Burbidge and illustrator Annie Henrie (A Piece of Silver) talk about their books from 11 AM to 3 PM.
